For a spread bet, the first number in each column is the spread, which, in this example, is 7.5 points. The -7.5 indicates that the 49ers would have to win by more than 7.5 points for spread bets on them to win. The positive 7.5 shows that spread bets on the Lions would win if Detroit wins the game or loses by fewer than 7.5 points.
